Director of Guest Services

Sunrise Springs is seeking a Director of Guest Services who is responsible for ensuring that the Sunrise Springs approach to integrative wellness, customer service, and hospitality is embedded throughout the guest experience. The Director of Guest Services directly oversees the front desk and concierge functions, housekeeping, dining services, and security, as well as providing resources and support for other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains, schedules and oversees staff to ensure that the highest attention to details of service, cleanliness and maintenance are adhered to in all public spaces and guestrooms of the property
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates hospitality systems, policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  • Inspects the property and services to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Works closely with the integrative team to ensure cohesion between all departments
  • Conducts cross training with other departments
  • Manages customer complaints and comments, addresses problems and troubleshoots
  • Keeps up with industry trends and make recommendations to improve operations

Required Education, Credentials & Experience:

Expressive Arts Instructor

Sunrise Springs is seeking an Expressive Arts Instructor to guide our guests towards creative freedom and a heightened awareness of themselves and the world around them. The art studio and the pottery studio provide amazing opportunities to use a variety of materials or mediums to aid in artistic expression. At Sunrise Springs, we believe there is never a “right” or “wrong” way to create art, and thus expect all of our instructors to model this philosophy. The Expressive Arts Instructor reports to the Experiential & Nature-Based Services Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaches art, pottery, creative writing or other expressive arts classes. 
  • Assists in the care and management of the art studio and the pottery studio. 
  • Works collaboratively with the other experiential & nature-based instructors and the entire integrative wellness team to ensure comprehensive care that reflects the philosophy and objectives of Sunrise Springs. 
  • Works closely with the psychological services team to address mental health and wellness goals and to communicate key information.

Fitness Instructor

Sunrise Springs is seeking a Fitness Instructor who designs and facilitates fitness classes, supports guests during open fitness center hours, and provides personal training for guests and staff. Sunrise Springs seeks an individual whose philosophy related to teaching exercise and fitness is one of compassion, gentleness and warmth, helping to ease any fear or discomfort guests may experience. The Fitness Instructor teaches guests how to connect with their bodies in a healthy way that can be replicated easily at home. The Fitness Instructor reports to the Experiential & Nature-Based Services Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaches fitness classes, supervises open fitness center hours, and provides personal training.
  • Assists in the care and management of the fitness center and equipment.
  • Works collaboratively with the experiential & nature-based instructors and the entire integrative wellness team to ensure comprehensive care that reflects the philosophy and objectives of Sunrise Springs.
  • Works closely with the medical team to conduct fitness assessments and address health and wellness goals directly related to fitness.

Required Education, Credentials & Experience:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Health Education, or similar
  • Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise or other nationally recognized certifying agency.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years experience of personal training, group exercise or monitoring of fitness programs.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.

Licensed Acupuncturist

Sunrise Springs is seeking a Licensed Acupuncturist who reports to the Medical Services Manager and works closely with the integrative wellness team to provide skilled and professional holistic acupuncture services. Guests are referred for acupuncture or Oriental Medicine services by the Integrative Physician based upon either indicated need or the guest’s interest. The Licensed Acupuncturist uses the guest’s existing Integrative Wellness assessment and corresponding plan as a guide to conduct an assessment of acupuncture needs, treatment recommendations, benefits, and treatment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews each guest’s integrative wellness assessment and corresponding treatment plan prior to the initial meeting with the guest.
  • Facilitates a holistic acupuncture assessment in which physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is taken into consideration.
  • Diagnoses conditions to determine treatment strategies.
  • Explains procedures and prepares guests for treatment using an experiential and integrative approach.
  • Performs acupressure and related techniques as needed.
  • Consults and collaborates with the wellness team regarding other therapies, diet, exercise, and emotional health.
  • Conducts integrative treatment planning and evaluates treatment outcomes.
  • Utilizes an Electronic Medical Records system to maintain guest records.
  • Complies with policies and procedures, quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

The Licensed Chiropractor uses the guest’s existing Integrative Wellness assessment and corresponding plan as a guide to conduct an assessment of each guest’s chiropractic needs, treatment recommendations, benefits, and treatment strategies.

  • Reviews each guest’s integrative wellness assessment and corresponding treatment plan prior to the initial meeting with the guest.
  • Facilitates a holistic chiropractic assessment in which physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is taken into consideration.

Licensed Massage Therapist

Sunrise Springs is seeking Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) who reports to the Spa Services Manager and works closely with the integrative wellness team to provide skilled and professional holistic bodywork services. All bodywork services are provided from an integrative and therapeutic orientation and are viewed as an essential component to the guest’s Integrative Wellness Plan. The LMT uses the guest’s existing Integrative Wellness Intake and corresponding plan as a guide to conduct an assessment of bodywork needs, treatment recommendations, benefits, and treatment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews each guest’s integrative wellness assessment and corresponding treatment plan prior to the initial meeting with the guest.
  • Facilitates a holistic bodywork assessment in which physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is taken into consideration.
  • Explains procedures and prepares guest for treatment using an experiential and integrative approach.
  • Consults and collaborates with the wellness team regarding other therapies, diet, exercise, and emotional health.

Spa Manager

Sunrise Springs is seeking a Spa Manager who is directly responsible for the coordination and oversight of therapeutic spa services, ensuring the quality of guest services and spa operations is aligned with the Sunrise Springs’ vision and values, and is of the highest standard. The Spa Manager oversees policy and procedure adherence, scheduling, record keeping, and ensures that the general appearance of the spa, the performance of spa providers and the type and quality of services are aligned with the Sunrise Springs’ model and approach to integrative wellness. This position requires supporting the integration of psychological, medical, spa, and experiential services.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the design and implementation of therapeutic spa services.
  • Facilitates weekly team meetings to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and service utilization so that the comprehensive care of guests reflects the philosophy and objectives of Sunrise Springs.
  • Works collaboratively with the psychological, medical and experiential service managers.
  • Hires, assists in the training process, schedules, and supervises spa services providers.
  • Ensures spa services are in compliance with county, state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates policies, procedures and safety guidelines for all spa services.
  • Monitors daily sales activities and develops and maintains annual budgets.
  • Manages inventory and sales.
  • Ensures that all spa equipment and facilities are properly maintained and that maintenance checks are done on a regular basis.
  • Maintains the hygiene standards, spa treatment quality controls that prevail throughout the industry.

Sous Chef

The Sous Chef will report directly to the Sunrise Springs Executive Chef and will ensure that all kitchen functions are performed professionally and efficiently. The Sous Chef will be responsible for ordering and ensuring that all foods and assorted stock are available for each meal’s preparation. In the absence of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will serve as the kitchen manager.

Responsibilities:

Assists the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, including:

  • menu development
  • inventory management
  • purchasing of supplies
  • cost control

Additional responsibilities:

  • Oversees the kitchen staff and monitors food production and presentation in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Manages all food preparation and kitchen sanitation in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local food handling and health regulations.
  • Coordinates and participates in the hiring, training, and managing of all kitchen personnel.
